This decorative solid brass rain gauge helps you conserve water. It not only collects and measures the amount of rain that has fallen over a given period of time, but also measures the amount of water used when watering your lawn and garden. Measuring in 1/10 inch increments on one side and 1mm increments on the reverse side the curvature of the glass vial magnifies the numerals by 50%. The twisting stake mounts in the ground and can also be post mounted. A metal screen in the collection funnel keeps out unwanted leaves and bugs. Mounting bracket, ground stake and matching hardware included. Lifetime warranty.

Please note: The glass vials are breakable and therefore not covered by our warranty, but replacement vials are available for a nominal cost. We recommend bringing your rain gauge inside before air temperatures reach the freezing point. This will keep it safely free of ice, which can expand and break the vial.

The photo here shows the transition of our classic Grande View Thermometer from a shiny, polished finish, to a warm antiqued finish, to a classic verdigris. Used outdoors, brass products naturally develop an antiqued finish after about two to three months' use. The verdigris finish develops anytime from 25 to 100 years' use — or as quickly as nine months if exposed to salt. The genuine beauty of a naturally aged patina appeals to those with a traditional aesthetic. Guaranteed for life!
