Year Round Recipe
1 LB Ground Beef 80/20 or Meat of your choice (You will use the excess grease ONLY)
5 TBSP Quick Oats
5 TBSP Flour
5 TBSP Cornmeal
3 TBSP Crunchy or Smooth Peanut Butter
1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds / Wild Bird Seed
Mix all of the ingredients above in the You Do It Suet® mold. Freeze to set. Release the suet cake from the You Do It Suet®mold and place in a suet cage feeder in your yard. Attracts a variety of wild birds.
Seed Cake Recipe
In the You Do It Suet® mold mix 1 packet of unflavored gelatin with 2 TBSP cold water, add 1/3 cup boiling water. Mix in 1 cup of bird seed. Freeze. Release suet cake from the You Do It Suet® mold. Feed the birds.
What is Gelatin?
Gelatin is a colorless, flavorless food derived from the collagen obtained from animal by-products. The collagen is extracted from the bones, skin and connective tissues of animals such as: chickens, pigs, cattle and fish.
Where Can I Buy Gelatin?
You can buy gelatin at your local grocery store. It can be found packaged in bulk or in single use packets. You can find gelatin in the Jell-o isle.
