The double sided Absolute II Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder has a weight sensitive metal perch that closes the seed ports when a squirrel or other large animal tries to feed from it. The weight sensitive perch can be adjusted to exclude large birds as well. Because this feeder allows birds to access it from either side, more birds can feed at once. It is easy to open and fill, and the seed saver baffle eliminates wasted seed.

This feeder holds a huge amount of seed - 12 lbs. (2 gallons). This ensures that you will spend less time filling your feeder and more time watching birds. The seed level indicator window allows you to see when the seed is running low. Filling the feeder is easy. Simply swing back the roof and pour the seed in. The roof locks down in the back to ensure that squirrels can't gain access to the seed. Fill this feeder with black-oil sunflower seeds, safflower seeds, or mixed seeds to bring a variety of birds to your backyard.

The Absolute II feeder is made of durable, powder-coated steel and features an attractive hardwood perch. Both an 11" steel bracket hanger and a 64" (52" above ground) four section one inch diameter black steel pole are included. A 12" ground socket is included which makes it easy to take down the feeder seasonally or when required. 5 year manufacturer's warranty. Made in the USA!

Adjusting Your Feeder

Absolute feeders are designed to keep out unwanted birds or animals. The springs on either side of the feeder slide out of the slots for adjustment to Light (0-2 oz), Medium (2-4 oz), and Heavy (4+ oz). We suggest a medium-weight setting for general purpose feeding, though you will want to refer to the bird weight table below to ensure all birds you wish to feed are covered in your weight setting. Note: you should use the same weight setting on both sides of each perch.
